Location: Lobby, Reading Terminal Headhouse (enter from the 1100 blocks of Market Street or Filbert Street)

A 500 sq.f. model railroad display with almost a third of a mile of track! Twelve working train lines rumble through a multitude of miniature scenery including Center City Philly, a Christmas Village, the Town of Lincoln Logs, and snow-covered countryside.

While you’re here, stop by Constructing Play, an exhibition of classic building toys at the Center for Architecture at 1218 Arch Street (open December 5th-January 31st). Creative minds are cultivated in childhood. Come see the toys that stimulate, challenge, and teach, and return to the wondrous days of your youth!

Come and taste Radicchio di Treviso, a special variety of Radicchio imported from Italy when the Reading Terminal Market hosts a short Iron Chef-like cook-off between local celebrity chefs to celebrate the first-ever Sagra del Radicchio di Treviso: Radicchio Festival. The event will also feature emcee Christina Pirello of Christina Cooks and three local judges, including the Market’s own Anna Maria Florio, owner of La Cucina at the Market. Samples of the radicchio will be available at Iovine Brothers Produce.
