XPN Local Music at the Reading Terminal Market

Cool off this summer with XPN Local Music Wednesdays at the Reading Terminal Market! The Market and WXPN 88.5 FM have partnered to bring you concerts showcasing local musicians from 12-1pm on July 8th, August 5th, and August 12th. The concert on July 8th will feature Andrew Lipke, a native South African who came to Philadelphia to attend the University of the Arts? music composition program. This talented singer/songwriter is known for his alternative, folk rock, and classical acoustic guitar and vocals. In addition, Philadelphia broadcast legend Helen Leicht will be broadcasting the Midday Show from the Market on July 8 from 10am-2pm. The artists featured on August 5th and August 12th will be announced at a later date.

Taste of Philadelphia: Market Tours

Every Wednesday & Saturday Learn the story behind cheese steaks, hoagies, pretzels and other Philly food favorites, and the 114-year history of the vibrant Reading Terminal Market where they’re sold during this 75-minute, food-writer-led walking tour.

The tour leaves from the Market information desk at 12th and Filbert streets in the heart of downtown Philadelphia at 10 a.m. every Wednesday and Saturday. Reservations Required.

Cost is $15.95 for adults and $8.95 for children ages 7 to 11. Private tours also available.
